Fitness and gratitude: better yourself for zero dollar bills just thought!

Did you know:
-Grateful people handle stressful situations better than ones that don't practice it.
-Gratitude makes you physically healthier and reduces the symptoms of neuromuscular diseases.
-By practicing gratitude you can decrease the side effects of PTSD
How do gratitude and fitness go hand in hand? Well a few ways, but here’s one…when we choose positivity and gratitude our cortisol levels lower reducing the influx of weight gain, brain fog, and depression. Instead of self-deprecating ourselves (we’re human we do this) gratitude creates opportunities in our minds that then get put into action. A ripple effect. And visa versa- with fitness you begin to see your body is worth taking care of. Create the present tense when talking to yourself during fitness. DONT IGNORE THE NEGATIVE - acknowledge and allow then follow it up with a direct counter thought ‘I am drinking more water because I am clearer-headed than if I drink less’ or ‘I am progressing in my arm work out so I’m going to do a leg one because I know I’ll increase my endorphins making me happier for the rest of the day creating these thinking patterns then will help when negativity takes over. This can then spread across other challenges in your life. All for now, more later. Today say ‘I am giving myself a better safe and strong mentality by working out today’

Gratitude facts and feelings:
Psychology research is beginning to indicate that those who have goals mainly based on process and interest rather than the result not only make you happy and healthier but it also leads to more success in your ambitions
Enjoy your process to care and fitness here are five process-based tips to help you get into a practice, mini-goals: 1) - eat at home one extra night a week, even simple but try making something new (or old with a twist) and enjoy your fruits 2) Drink 8-12oz of warm lemon water or purified first thing in the morning for a week and note how you feel. 3) pick a new exercise once a week for a month. 4) meditate and ask yourself about how you conduct yourself… is what you say and do: Kind, Truthful, Necessary, and begin your awareness. 5) if something in your day unexpectedly happens find a positive silver lining to what just happened: note and acknowledge it and yourself.

// By combining gratitude and fitness we begin to see an increased in awareness and psychological strength that can be continuously built without any cost. By noticing what one does well and what doesn’t. How ones tone or movement can be put out into the world and interpreted. How do we affect ourselves and our environments? How do we bring positivity? By noticing the positive traits we find ways of navigating through the harder ones with a little more ease. By saving gratitude for ourselves we begin to build preventative immunities against disease and pre- aging. We become more powerful and stronger humans that will be able to give back to the world simply by becoming aware. Photo by @fourseascannabis
